The Outreach Project was founded by Josh Melching and Jonathan Hodge, two combat veterans with over 40 years of combined military experience and a shared belief that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. Having spent their careers in Air Force Special Warfare, they understand the realities of high-demand service, transition, purpose, and the challenge of finding the right support afterward.

The Outreach Project exists to bridge that gap—connecting veterans, first responders, and their families with trusted organizations, real conversations, and resources that make a difference. At its core, this platform is driven by a simple mission: to continue serving others by amplifying the people and nonprofits doing the work that truly matters.
